City Six field hockey ‘Dream Crazy Clinic’ on October 11 at Drexel University to honor the late Gretta Ehret

The field hockey community in the city of Philadelphia are keeping the positive spirit and legacy of Gretta Ehret going.

Members of the Philadelphia field hockey community are coming together in the first of many anticipated events that pay homage to the late Gretta Ehret.

Ehret, 38, passed away in June after a prolonged battle with metastatic breast cancer.

Her legacy will be remembered through those who knew her best and who stood by her side during her hardest days.

“To know her was to love her,” former University of Pennsylvania head field hockey coach Colleen Fink wrote in a LinkedIn Post. “She lived life at an action packed pace, was competitive, fun and always all in. Her legacy will not only live in all the people that loved her but also through the Dream Crazy Foundation. This foundation will support not only how Gretta defined Dream Crazy but more importantly her true passion, providing athletic opportunities to young people. Gretta felt sport could change a young person’s life and trajectory and she wanted all young people to experience sport’s impact.”

Fink, along with Gretta’s sister, and college coaches from Drexel, Saint Joe’s, Temple, and Villanova are coming together for the ‘City Six Field Hockey Dream Crazy Clinic on October 11 at Drexel University.’
