District 1 field hockey playoffs take center stage this week, with Class AAA second-round games scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 28, followed by Class A semifinals and Class AA quarterfinals Thursday, Oct. 29.
Teams are competing for places in the Nov. 7 championship games at Methacton High School and berths in the PIAA state tournament.
Two Class A teams and five Class AA teams will advance to states; Class AAA’s seventh berth will be decided in a District 1–District 12 playoff.
