The road to a District 1 field hockey championship begins Monday, Oct. 26, with Boyertown leading the Class 3A field, Mount St. Joseph atop Class 2A and New Hope-Solebury holding the No. 1 seed in Class 1A.
The opening rounds bring together postseason hopefuls whose regular-season performances have earned them a shot at a district title.
Among the current-season standouts, Quakertown senior Sunday Draper has punched in 41 goals and helped teammates with 24 assists, according to reported MaxPreps statistics, helping the Panthers enter districts at 17-1 as the No. 6 seed in Class 3A.
Fellow senior Paige Longacre has also added double digit goals this season.
In Class 2A, Riley Meehan gave No. 3 Gwynedd Mercy a late-season boost with a three-goal performance in an 8-0 victory over Faith Christian, another district qualifier.
Tickets must be purchased online using the District 1 link.
