Tampa women's volleyball stays undefeated and keeps No. 1 spot in DII poll: AVCA
The Tampa women’s volleyball team have stayed hungry for a national championship all season.
They remain undefeated and No. 1 atop the American Volleyball Coaches Association week 12 Division II poll.
This week’s results highlight the highly competitive nature of the top five teams pushing to finish the 2025 race.
The Spartans are unapologetically 26-0.
Supporting that dominance is junior defensive specialist, libero Ana Rivera, who led both teams with 17 digs in their recent match against Saint Leo. Their next match is November 21 against Florida Tech.
Coming in at No. 2 is Wayne State. Wayne State are 27-3 and have won 14 consecutive matches.
Delaney Miller, freshman outside hitter, led all players with 25 kills in their match against Northern State. Wayne State competes again against St. Could State on November 21.
Nebraska-Kearney continues to hang in the top five with a record of 27-3. They’ve won their last two matches with the help from senior outside hitter Emilee Lane. Lane topped the leaderboard with 17 kills against Missouri Western State.
She also ranks second on the team in kills with 302.
With a record of 22-4, Barry College is No. 4.
Valeriya Kozlova, freshman outside hitter and middle blocker, led the match with 32 kills against Nova Southeastern. The Bucs meet Saint Leo on November 21.
Rounding out the top five is Concordia. The women’s volleyball team is 25-4 and they are on a 14-match winning streak.
Ellie Sieling, senior outside hitter, led the team with 11 kills against Minnesota Duluth. She is also third on the team this season with 273 kills.
The Bulldogs compete against Sioux Falls on November 21.
