Female Athlete News is excited to present the third annual East vs. West high school girls' PA Field Hockey Senior Cup.

We are pleased to announce that over 190 athletes have been invited to this event, which will take place on Sunday, March 22 at Conestoga Valley High School.

FAN has partnered again with the Pennsylvania High School Field Hockey Coaches Association. Nominations remain open until the day of the tournament.

Coaches and athletic directors, who would like to nominate athletes, can submit entries by emailing femaleathletenews@gmail.com or by filling out the Google Form.

Tournament Theme

This year’s tournament focuses on health awareness.

FAN is honored to welcome USA Women’s Field Hockey athlete and Penn State alum Phia Gladieux to the Senior Cup.

As an athlete ambassador for Huddle for Hearts — a national initiative powered by The Peyton Walker Foundation aimed at increasing awareness and survival rates of Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) — Gladieux will host a field hockey and CPR clinic during the tournament.

Proceeds from the clinic will fund the purchase of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), which will be donated on Gladieux's behalf to a location of her choice. Huddle for Hearts focuses on placing AEDs in public parks, schools, and athletic fields.

Meet Gladieux before she and Team USA depart for the biggest international competition of the year: the 2026 FIH World Cup this summer.

Tournament Information

- Format: Each team will play three 20-minute games. Teams with the best records, most goals scored, and fewest goals conceded will automatically advance to the bronze and gold medal championship games. Both the bronze and gold games will be 60 minutes.

- Nominations: Coaches may nominate three athletes (exceptions considered).

- Participation: There is no cost for athletes to participate. Athletes must confirm their participation by emailing femaleathletenews@gmail.com. Athletes who have already confirmed do not need to email.

- Logistics: Food and travel are the responsibility of the athlete; food trucks will be available on-site.

- Coaches: Coaches will be announced in February, along with team rosters. Coaches will reach out to athletes at that time with further instructions.

The following list will be updated as more schools submit nominees and athletes are selected. All players are chosen by their coaches and are welcome to participate regardless of whether they plan to play in college or not.

- Questions: Please email us with questions. FAN does not respond to emails that have vague information; respond with full name, associated school, and question.
