Stalking, harassment case involving NJ teacher, field hockey athlete, moved to grand jury for review
A 57-year-old Bridgewater-Raritan Middle School teacher charged with stalking, cyberstalking, and harassing an athlete victimized by her former club field hockey coach is awaiting a grand jury’s decision on indictment.
Tracy Biondi, of Basking Ridge, was in court on Dec. 22, 2025. A representative from the Somerset County prosecutor’s office told the judge that they were proceeding with the case and it was moving to a grand jury for review.
Biondi was charged and arrested outside her home on November 13, 2025. The grand jury has 90 days from when she was charged to decide whether to indict her or not.
According to the criminal complaint, an investigation was initiated following the dissemination of anonymous handwritten letters and various social media activities, including comments and messages.
Law enforcement subsequently obtained subscriber information for a specific Instagram account via a grand jury subpoena. This account was reportedly used to send messages described as “lewd,” “indecent,” and “obscene” regarding the victim.
The messages were also being sent to the victim’s family and friends, police said.
Investigators discovered that the Instagram account was associated with Biondi’s email address.
Based upon their findings, law enforcement have accused Biondi of intentionally trying to “emotionally harm” and cause fear of “physical” harm.
Biondi openly supported Brett Clay, which included Biondi being in the courtroom when he was sentenced. Clay was a club field hockey coach, who admitted to and pled guilty to trying to have a sexual relationship with one of his underaged athletes.
An indictment doesn’t mean that she is guilty. If indicted, the case would move forward to a formal arraignment and possible trial.
Biondi’s employment is unknown at this time.
