Top five high school field hockey programs by PIAA district the week of Sept. 28: PA rankings
A handful of Pennsylvania high school field hockey teams are still unbeaten on the season.
What a way to renew a rivalry: Wyoming Seminary and Crestwood turned last Monday’s showdown into an end-to-end, edge-of-your-seat battle, with incredible saves and defensive plays through four quarters and into overtime before the final 0-0 draw was determined.
According to the Times Leader’s game report, goalkeepers Lizzy Vankuyk and Isla Centak ensured the long-awaited matchup lived up to its billing: Vankuyk made seven saves as the Blue Knights weathered 12 Crestwood penalty corners, while Centak stopped four shots and Kamryn Kelly added a defensive save for the Comets.
