USA Field Hockey announce women’s 2026 FIH World Cup roster
USA Field Hockey announced Saturday the roster that will represent the United States at the 2026 FIH World Cup.
The World Cup is always a marquee event, and this edition should carry extra energy with Belgium and the Netherlands serving as hosts. Field hockey is woven into the sporting culture there, making the tournament a natural draw for fans.
The selected athletes are a familiar blend of youth and experience, according to a statement published by USA Field Hockey.
“The group we have drawn is very challenging with three strong opponents, but we demonstrated at Nations Cup that we can play an attacking, fast-paced brand of hockey,” USWNT head coach David Passmore said in the statement.
In the final weeks before the tournament, Passmore said the team will sharpen its set pieces.
Ashley Hoffman is the only player returning from the U.S. women’s most recent World Cup appearance in 2018, and she enters the roster with the most international caps.
