In September, USA Field Hockey named the athletes chosen for its junior training and traveling squads.
USA Field Hockey has announced invitations to its U-16, U-18 and U-21 Junior Women's National Team Selection Camps following the 2026 Junior and Senior Nexus Championship, presented by Osaka Hockey.
The U-16 and U-18 selection camps are scheduled for Dec. 4-6 at Davidson College in Davidson, North Carolina. The selected athletes’ names were announced in September.
The invitations advance them to the next stage of the junior national team pathway. The 2026-27 U.S. U-16 and U-18 Women's National Teams will be named after the first two training camps, with travel squads scheduled to compete at select Easter tournaments in Europe in late March 2027.
Grant Fulton, USA Field Hockey's director of junior high performance, said the age-group teams' progress during the 2026 Junior High Performance cycle has strengthened the program's outlook as it looks toward the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics.
“The progress our age group teams showed throughout the 2026 Junior High Performance cycle has us more energized than ever,” Fulton said in a statement. “With our sights set on Los Angeles 2028, our Junior National athletes are setting a new standard.”
Taylor Carden, USA Field Hockey's assistant director of Nexus, said the summer's World Cup excitement also brought attention to the junior talent pool and the Olympic development pathway.
“This has been an exciting year yet again for our Olympic development pathway and the junior national camp invitations are a reflection of the rising talent within the United States,” Carden said in a statement.

The U-21 travel squad will compete in the 2027 FIH Hockey Women's Junior World Cup The tournament dates and location will be announced soon by the FIH.
