With the constant changes in college sports, prospective student-athletes likely have many questions about navigating the recruiting process.

The LineUP, a female-led family business, recently hosted its annual field hockey ID Clinic at The Proving Grounds in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania. Their second summer Mega Event will be held on July 19 at Fore Kicks III Indoor and Outdoor Sports Complex in Taunton, Massachusetts.

Registration recently ended for the July 19 event. Visit The LineUP’s website for more information about their events.

This clinic offers athletes a fantastic opportunity to gain exposure to college field hockey coaches, learn more about the recruiting process, connect with new friends, and enjoy playing the game alongside athletes from across the country.

Female Athlete News recently partnered with The LineUP, and as part of this series, FAN interviewed seven Division I coaches.

College: Georgetown

Associate Head Coach: Liz Sack

Division: I

Conference: Big East

2024 Record: 3-14 overall, 1-6 conference

2024 Notable:

The Georgetown University field hockey team ended its 2024 campaign with a 2-1 shootout loss at Longwood.

The Hoyas took an average of 7.2 shots per game throughout the season scoring 18. They tallied 134 saves.

What do you like about attending The LineUp:

“We've had great success recruiting players from these clinics, with three or four committed players for this Fall alone,” Sack said.

At our clinics, Sack said she prefers to focus on small-sided games rather than drills. When she was younger, she found drills tedious, so she said she aims to create a space where players can freely engage in the game.

Beyond skills, personality plays a significant role, she said. She looks for players who are driven, academically focused, and genuinely committed to improving the Georgetown program.
