DIII women’s volleyball poll reshuffles list after top five in week seven: AVCA

Graycee Mosley (East Texas Baptist), Mya Ray (La Verne), and Lauren Grier (Wisconsin-Oshkosh) have are filling out the stats sheets this Fall aseason.

The top five Division III women’s volleyball rankings haven’t budged.

La Verne, East Texas Baptist, Wisconsin-Oshkosh hold the top three spots in this week’s American Volleyball Coaches Association poll. The week seven poll reshuffles the list beyond the top five spot as the regular season is nearing its end.

La Verne, at No. 1, has an undefeated record of 17-0. They were 16-0 when the poll was published.

Senior outside hitter Mya Ray earned the top spot in kills (11) during the team's last match against Occidental College. Ray also holds the top spot in kills (279) with a season high of 30 kills.

East Texas Baptist is No. 2 and has an undefeated record of 21-0 as of Thursday. 

Senior Graycee Mosley has led eight matches in both kills and digs during this season. Mosley is the top Tiger for kills (295).

Wisconsin-Oshkosh, No. 3, has a record of 21-2 and an eight-match winning streak as of this publishing. 

Junior outside hitter Lauren Grier held the top spot for kills (10) during the team's last match against Carroll University. Grier comes in third on the team in kills (109), and had her season high kills (11) against the Northwestern-St. Paul.

Wisconsin-Whitewater, No. 4, has a record of 19-3. They dropped their last contest in four sets to Wisconsin-Platteville effectively ending their eight-match winning streak.

Senior outside hitter and setter Emma Bludgen was the top digger with six digs during the team’s last match. Bludgen has the third-highest digs (137) this season.

Juniata College, No. 5, has a record of 18-2 and an eight-match winning streak.

Sophomore outside hitter Emily Farrell topped the leaderboard in kills (13) during the team’s last match against Messiah University. Farrell is ranked fourth on the team in kills (143) and points (156).

The Juniata Eagles will play again on October 17 against Elizabethtown College.
