The final DIII women’s field hockey poll was published by the NFHCA Tuesday.

The Worcester Polytechnic Institute women’s field hockey team punched their ticket to the 2025 NCAA Division III Tournament for the first time in 32 years.

The National Field Hockey Coaches Association published Tuesday its final Division III rankings.

The last time WPI appearance in the national tournament was in 1993. Amherst College, which hasn’t been to the tournament since 2011, also earned a berth.

For the first time in program history, the 2025 Christopher Newport team finishes the regular season sitting atop of the final NFHCA DIII poll. The Captains remain the only undefeated team in that division.

Lots of conference championship titles were earned this past week.

Bates earned their program’s first NESCAC Championship title after their 2-0 win over Wesleyan. With that victory, the Bobcats broke the program record for wins in one season with 15.

Salisbury’s dominant 7-1 win versus Cortland gave the Sea Gulls their program’s 26th SUNYAC championship title. The dub also marked head coach Dawn Chamberlin’s 600th career win.

John Hopkins defeated Dickinson 4-1 to earn their seventh consecutive CC Championship title. The Blue Jays are only one shy of the conference record for championship titles.
