IUP field hockey ranks, Newberry claims regular season SAC title, and Kutztown stays perfect in latest poll ranking: NFHCA
The Indiana University of Pennsylvania women’s field hockey team ranked in the latest National Field Hockey Coaches Association poll.
The week seven poll had IUP at No. 10 after formerly not being ranked. The last time IUP was ranked in the 2025 Fall campaign was week three.
The Division II week seven NFHCA poll was published Tuesday and is a composite vote of association member coaches.
The Crimson Hawks recently secured a 2-0 victory over Bloomsburg — a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) competitor — giving lone senior Jess Davidson a memorable senior night.
This win also marked IUP’s first victory over Bloomsburg since 2021. No. 10 IUP has another PSAC clash on the calendar November 1 against No. 5 West Chester.
Newberry College recently claimed the regular season South Atlantic Conference title with a dominant 8-0 shutout against Coker. The victory also marked head coach Hannah Dave’s 95th career win since taking over the program in 2017.
Kutztown continues to impress with a 17-game winning streak, setting new program records for both the best start and the longest single-season win streak.
Lander secured the No. 3 seed in the upcoming SAC tournament (starting November 4), behind Newberry, which earned the No. 1 seed, and Belmont Abbey at No. 2.
Shippensburg’s defensive midfielder Carme Caracotche Picone tied her single-game career high by scoring two goals in a 3-1 win over Mansfield. Her standout game also doubled her career goal total, bringing her to four goals.
According to the NFHCA, the poll is voted on by designated NFHCA member coaches from each conference and has no bearing on selection to the NCAA Division II Field Hockey Championship.
Bolded teams have moved positions higher or lower from week-to-week.
