No. 1 Newberry vs No. 3 Shippensburg 2025 NCAA DII field hockey championship: how to watch

The 2025 NCAA Division II field hockey championship game is today at Bloomsburg.

The only No. 1 seed in all three NCAA field hockey tournament brackets to make it to the national championship game is Newberry College.

The Wolves are unbeaten in 2025 and have a record of 20-0. They take on the No. 3 seed, Shippensburg (19-3) today at 12:30 p.m. at Bloomsburg University.

The Wolves secured the NCAA tourney spot by beating Lander 3-0 in the South Atlantic Conference final, then won 4-1 over Bentley and 3-0 against No. 5 West Chester in the semifinals to reach the title game.

Newberry are 3-0 this season in Pennsylvania with two victories over West Chester and one over Mansfield.

Shippensburg earned the automatic bid from the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) with a 2-1 win over regular season champion Kutztown.

This is the Wolves first trip to the NCAA Tournament and the second time a team from the SAC has qualified.

Shippensburg is in the NCAA Tournament for the 18th time and has won six total national championships.
