Penn State volleyball star Izzy Starck is entering the NCAA transfer portal

Izzy Starck made a major announcement on Thursday.

BigTen women’s volleyball 2024 freshman of the year Izzy Starck announced Thursday that she is entering the NCAA transfer portal.

Starck stepped away from her college post as a Penn State setter in September moments before the reigning national champions were set to compete against Kentucky. She said she needed some personal time to prioritize her mental health.

Nearing the end of the 2025 NCAA Division I women’s volleyball campaign, Starck has now shared — on her Instagram account — that she is leaving Happy Valley.

“I am very excited to announce that I will be entering the transfer portal this December,” Starck wrote in the Instagram post. “I look forward to finding a new home where I can grow in the next chapter of my career. I am beyond grateful for the endless support I’ve received over the past months.”
