Syracuse outlasts Liberty in shootouts, Duke takes down Iowa: NCAA DI first round scores

Aubrey Turner was the last Syracuse overtime shooter to score against Liberty, which would send Cuse to the next round of the 2025 NCAA Division I tournament.

The ACC and Big East clash was one of four games that were played at 2:30 on Friday in the First Round of the 2025 NCAA Division I women’s field hockey tournament.

The Flames tied the game with 42 seconds remaining in the game. The two squads then battled it out in two 10-minute overtime periods.

Turner was the last to put her shot away.

Duke outlasted Iowa with a come from behind win. The Blue Devils were able to end the game in regulation. They will face familiar foe North Carolina in the second round.

Northwestern 5, Yale 1

UConn 2, Wake Forest 0
