USWNT defeat Uruguay 4-2; advance to 2025 Pan American Championship and punch ticket to 2026 FIH World Cup
The U.S. Women’s National Field Hockey team have advanced to the 2025 Pan American Cups championship to face Argentina.
The 4-2 win in shootouts against Uruguay also means the United Eagles have qualified for the 2026 FIH World Cup in the Netherlands and Belgium.
Despite the US taking the lead, an attack penalty corner scored by Ryleigh Heck, Uruguay fought back to find a late equalizer to send the game into overtime.
Bing stopped one stroke in regulation and allowed one stroke during the shootouts. Abby Tamer, Reese D’Ariano, Heck, and Phia Gladiuex each landed their shots.
