Palmyra vs Warwick high school field hockey: District 3 Class 2A
The 2025 District 3 Class 2A No. 1 seed and No. 2 seed — separated by roughly 25 miles — enter the end of the tournament with identical records.
But, the two high school field hockey teams that are hours away from putting on a great show, are not alike in performance.
Palmyra will take on Warwick Saturday in the championship game at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Park.
Both squads will organize as quickly as possible, and play scrappy when they need to.
While Palmyra doubles the number of gold medals won in districts throughout the years, Warwick isn’t a team that will settle for less than playing their best.
The Cougars have won districts 15 times and the Warriors have won it seven. Warwick were the 2024 District 3 Class 2A champions and they are looking for back-to-back gold medals.
Palmyra earned the gold the year prior in 2023, and has been to the finale in recent years winning the gold in 2019, 2020, and 2022.

No. 1 Palmyra
The 2025 Cougars are so comfortable knowing where and how each other plays, which is why it makes sense that they are the No. 1 seed.
Palmyra is notorious for not only earning attack penalty corners, but also making minor tweaks to them expanding their arsenal of options.
They allowed 11 goals scored against them in the regular season. And, each of their postseason tournament games have been shutout wins.
The Cougars scored 70 goals in the regular season, and added on 18 more in three games between round one and the championship game.
Palmyra takes quick self starts, throws long aerials, and finds their structure when under pressure.
One thing that sets them apart is a constant expectation that they’ll play together and make smart decisions on marking, low shots versus high shots, and changing their speed.

No. 2 Warwick
Despite the Warriors graduating an entire defensive unit last season, they have already cultivated experience in the next cohort.
Warwick’s head coach has surrounded himself with likeminded individuals who want to raise the standard of high school field hockey in Lititz.
The backfield’s youth could be an advantage for Palmyra, but during the playoffs, anything can happen. Their backfield is going to have to play nearly perfect to stop the Cougar attack.
Warwick has allowed 18 goals scored against them in the 2025 Fall season. But, they have an offensive attack that knows how to either be creative or finish a shot on goal.
With the pressure increasing from the first round until the championship, that experience has already been lessons learned for the backline. The Warriors have not allowed one goal scored against them throughout the postseason.
They’ve scored 81 goals in the regular season. In the District 3 tournament, they have found the cage for 16 goals scored.
